Vibration damping materials are an effective method of eliminating vibrational energy in mechanical equipment and other industrial applications. Using vibration isolation methods is essential not only for noise control but to protect appliances and heavy equipment from instability and fatigue. Our custom vibration damping solutions are exclusively proprietary materials from Aearo Technologies. ISOLOSS LS Foam

A more value-driven alternative to Poron foam is Aearo Technologies ISOLOSS polyurethane foam. The distinct combinations of these fine-celled, low compression-set, high-density polyurethane foams can be configured for an extensive amount of applications. ISOLOSS LS foam products offer remarkably low compression set and impressive resistance to collapse, as well as good impact absorption and vibration isolation properties.  These foams also exhibit excellent dimensional stability and low outgassing, with rigid thickness tolerances.  LS Foam is a perfect answer for gaskets and shock absorption.
 
These foam products are available to purchase in roll form and die-cut into different shapes and sizes. LS Foam can also be purchased with PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive). Because of Rathbun’s role as a 3M converter, virtually any PSA needed can be applied. High/low temp, high moisture, any special PSA application challenge can be solved. Our customers do not have to settle for “standard” PSA.  ISOLOSS LS foam’s lightweight and flexible properties, when combined with their durability and controlled compression attributes, allow for one-step application to resolve issues.
